Cool Innovations for Your Garden
I’m always looking for easy ways to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to my garden and I think these new products and innovations will brighten your outdoor spaces.
1- Boxwood Basil –
It’s new by Burpee, the plant and seed catalog/website and a pretty way to add texture and a beautiful edible to your garden! How fun to use this as a border planting or perhaps frame an entry to the kitchen in a pair of containers.

2- Always in Bloom Drop In Containers 1-2-3
For those moments when you need pow in a hurry – here is the solution and it’s sold at independent nurseries, like in California, Armstrong Garden Centers. It’s a pre-planted arrangement that each season you can you ‘pop’ into a container that coordinates with the plants and your décor!

They follow the design philosophy of “thriller” “filler” and “spiller” meaning a tall plant in the middle for height, a broad plant surrounding to fill out the pot and then a cascading spiller that dangles over the edges for richness. http://www.armstronggarden.com/page.php?q=node/205
3- Invisiclimb the “invisible” trellis and plant hangers!
These kits which combine a clear fishing wire-like material with plexiglass, are creative ways to give the illusion your plants are floating in air, and eliminates the need for conventional trellis or support systems. It’s worth a try! The InvisiClimb plant hangers are strong enough to support up to 40 pounds.
