Super Bowl Party Ideas

ARE YOU ready for some football...and lots of food?

Chili, Chicken Wings, Nachos, Meatballs - the basic 4 Food Groups for a GREAT Super Bowl Party right?

What I love about a party tied to the Super Bowl is expectations are low, and your price point can be too! Set the stage first by getting some astro-turf or faux grass at a home improvement hardware store, along with white first aid adhesive tape and create your own "football field" table cloth to serve up all of your snacks for the party.

Here's my favorite take on those four food groups:

Chili Tips:

Best chili I ever made - had no beans at all - from the cookbook Chili Madness

Slowcook flank steak with onions, tomatoes bell peppers, - then Cube it, add wine, broth more veggies YUMM.

Also try these pointers;

Use 4 different kinds of beans ( or  more )

Add beer along with all of the veggies

Quick Meatballs (One of my favorite meatball recipes) is so easy - in a crockpot -Slow cook all day and you are a genius:

Frozen Meatballs

Grape Jelly

Chili Sauce

I add more spice to taste.

Nachos

Must have enough toppings on every chip for every bite is my philosophy.

Add a melted grated cheese with heavy cream mixed with tomatillos for a sinful topping mixed with the meat of your choice and more cheese, tomatoes, beans, sour cream and guac!

Chicken Wings Asian Style- I got lots of oohs and aahs when I made this Wolfgang Puck Asian Fusion spin to Chicken wings. And here's the quick way to do it. Buy frozen chicken wings . Mix sweet and sour sauce with ginger - paste on wings then cook!  Can serve with another dipping sauce like hot Chinese mustard or duck sauce.

But there's more to cook up! Check out the ideas in my chat with Author, and Entertainment expert Host Jeanne Benedict.
