More Consumer Reports Tips:
- Don’t be afraid of the combo – TV and BluRay player –Times have changed
-Internet shopping is typically the better deal for home electronics – just remember the downside of returns and look for sites that have a store that will allow you to return it.
-Just Say No to Extended Warranties – TV repair bills are usually the same cost as a warranty
- Ask the salesperson for a better deal – tell them you saw it cheaper on line and it could save you up to $200 bucks.
- LCD vs Plasma – LCD’s better in bright rooms – can experience some motion blur. Plasmas can have “image sticking” but better in dark rooms, with a rich image
- Consider a BluRay player – some as low as $130-$200 bucks!
