2010 The Year of Essential Necessities
It’s about what we’ve GOT to have done, versus what we want to have done to our homes in 2010. And, it adds up to energy efficiency, organization, comfort and price. Better Homes and Gardens Magazine polled the nation and found while the economy has had on impact on 76 % of us postponing our home dreams, nearly 60% of us plan on having a home office that provides multi-tasking space. There is also a sense of optimism, with caution and as a result we are asking tough questions, being smart consumers, and choosing things for US, instead of the “Jones’s”
Executive Editor of Home Design for BHG, Eliot Nusbaum, says the take home from this revealing survey is the economy has not only shifted our spending, but our definition of home and how we value it!
