Modernism Architecture Tour Pasadena

It’s not just about how a Modernism Home looks but what it does for you. From those sleek, simple lines and open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows to a connection with nature indoors and outdoors. Southern California is home to some of the most magnificent and iconic Modernism homes designed by some of the Architect greats like Richard Neutra.

Barbara Lamprecht  a scholar of Modernism and the author of two best-selling books on architect Richard Neutra, and Tim Gregory, “The Building Biographer”, and also on the Pasadena Heritage Board, talk about the classic homes and how they’ve become a signature in the Southern California’s home design landscape.

USC Trivia – Did you know that the USC Architecture School under the leadership of Dean Arthur Gallion was responsible in part for  the Modernism Home making a signature in Southern California?  The reason is Dean Gallion brought in so many Architects with that kind of vision, who took advantage of the hillsides, the weather and the plantings to bring that outside and inside together thru great architecture.
