Growing Veggies From Seed

Ever try growing your favorite vegetables, from lettuce, to home grown tomatoes, to herbs and peppers from seed? It takes a little longer, roughly 3 to 4 months before you’ll have something to eat, but Landscape Designer David Snow says it is far more fulfilling of a gardening experience then buying all of your edibles full grown as a plant. Here’s a few tips to start – use your plastic leftover containers with lids as your own “green house” and seeling tray to get started, and kick the growing phase into high gear by placing the planted seeds, in soil in that green house on top of the dryer, while it’s on! It’s the “Shake and Bake” method of movement and a little heat on top of the dryer that fools the seeds into thinking it’s time to grow now!
