You may have heard the saying, “Stop throwing money out your old windows.” As energy costs increase, it may be time to swap drafty, outdated windows with some that are tight-fitting and more efficient. Not only can new windows make your home more peaceful and quiet, but over time you’ll reduce your energy bill.

Recently, getting energy-efficient windows has become much easier since companies have worked to make them customary. Insulating features such as heat-reflecting low-E coatings and argon gas between panes are standard, and new extras are available too, including fiberglass window frames.
