Plant Watering And Sprinklers
Watering your plants wherever they are, whether they are in the house, or outside in the garden, or in a container, can make the difference between life and death for our greenery. Unfortunately, watering is something that many of us overdo. Do we over-love and over-water? Or what about the opposite; maybe we head off on vacation, get busy, and just don’t do enough. Either way, watering is part of making sure that a plant thrives- but how do we know we are doing it right? Like how much? When? And how? What about setting up sprinklers, timers, and soakers?

We’re going to get smart on watering with Landscape Contractor and Designer Laramee Haynes. You’ve seen his work in the gardens of the Pasadena Showcase House over the years and he’s here to help us today!

I think the number one mistake many of us make, myself included, is over-watering plants. Our plants often need less water than we think, but is less really more? Is there a way to look at a plant and know it’s thirsty vs. over-watered? And sometimes the warning signs can even be confused with a disease or other issues? We all want to keep our plants happy and healthy. So it all starts with the kinds of plants you choose in the first place. The plants you surround yourself with determine how much watering is needed and how much may be just over doing it.
