Homemade Flavored Vinegar

We talk quite a bit about California native plants, that don’t require as much water because they were intended to be here, opposed to plants that are implants- the ones from parts of the world we love but may be thirstier.

But what’s cool about my next guest is she has ways to not only create a great water smart garden, but how to then bring those plants to your kitchen in the form of Flavored Vinegars. Sounds like one more to a long list of reasons why we need to think California natives in our garden- something that can be tasty in the dishes we prepare, are right in your yard, and can taste great. Connie Vadheim Roth gives us some ideas on how we can start making flavored vinegars with just about anything.
